  • Laboratory tour.  The University of Utah Institute for Clean and Secure Energy has pilot-scale laboratory facilities that include air- and oxy-fired pulverized coal combustion test facilities up to 1.5 MW, 1 ton/day entrained-flow and fluidized bed gasifiers, a 300 KW circulating fluidized bed facility, a 300 KW grate-fired stoker, a 5 ton/day pyrolysis kiln, and a pilot-scale chemical looping facility. The tour will be Wednesday afternoon and will depart Canyons after the meeting adjourns (approximately 1:00 PM). Participants will be transported to the airport by 4:30 PM.
